Our staff recently volunteered at the Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett – a local non-profit that provides physician and dental services for the uninsured and underinsured.
We also participated in an annual in-office training with local EMS members on advanced life saving techniques for the health and safety of our patients.
Dr. Carter celebrated his 30th year as a member of the prestigious Hinman Dental Society recently, and was awarded with a 30 year pin.
Congrats Dr. Carter!
Our own Dr. Bruce Carter founded the Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures foundation in 2001 as a way to help raise money for the fight against cancer in the Gwinnett County area. What started as a small, grassroots plan has grown into a movement with over 65 volunteer dentists raising over a MILLION DOLLARS with the motto, “Dentists Curing Cancer One Smile At a Time.”
Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures is a teeth whitening program where a patient makes a donation in lieu of paying for dental services. Then a volunteer dentist provides a service (usually a tooth whitening) to the patient with no compensation for the services. 100% of the patient’s donation goes to the foundation. Proceeds from the 2016 campaign went towards new 3D breast imaging equipment for Gwinnett Medical Center.
